Our rodent control Fort Lauderdale services are designed to rid your home or office of rodent infestations. Rats and mice are excellent climbers. Rats have a vertical jump of up to three feet and can drop from heights of 50 feet without harming themselves.

If rats and mice cannot work their way around an object, they may simply go through it. They are more than capable of gnawing on many materials such as improperly cured concrete, glass, aluminum siding, cinder block, lead sheathing and drywall.

Since rodents can be such a destructive pest, a thorough inspection along with a multi-faceted approach to halt them is essential.

Baiting

Before we begin a baiting program, we carefully review the property to see what makes it vulnerable to a rodent infestation. Following an inspection and setting up a graph of the property, we select the appropriate rodenticide to use for the initial treatment.

Our federally approved rodent bait boxes are locked at all times and anchored so that they are safe and tamper-proof. All bait boxes are inspected, cleaned, sanitized and replenished on a monthly basis.

Trapping

We trap the rodents in the attics of home, offices, commercial businesses and remove them before odors occur. It is crucial at times to implement a rodent trapping program. It is essential to place them in either secure boxes or the attic so that neither humans or pets will come in contact with them.

Sometimes using traps to reduce a rodent infestation, is a very appropriate avenue. If the population is very large and baiting is simply not enough, then trapping plays an important role.

Rodent Exclusion

We secure and seal outside openings to stop any future intrusion by rats and mice. Rodent exclusion is not performed until baiting and/or trapping has been underway for certain period.

Exclusion generally includes the garage vents on the side walls, eaves, roof vents, dryer vents and other key areas such as the downspouts, to ensure the rodents will not gain entry.
